1, How did your story first begin and why did you decide to take an Erasmus+ internship in Slovakia?
It looked like a good opporutnity. I already had some basic knowledge of the language so it was a bit easier. The day I went to my university for picking up my bachelor diploma, we received the email from PlacementSlovakia.

2, Can you tell what responsibilities the company gave you at work?
Managing a fleet with drivers, writing routes, contacting freight forward specialists. Calculating fuel consumtion.

3, What skills did you improve the most during your traineeship?
Influencive skills most definitely. Negotiating with people all the time was the main reason.

4, Were there any tasks given to you that you had no idea how to complete? If so, how did you solve it?
Yes. Like driving around and looking for companies we work with, but with some help and luck it all went good. For the other tasks it was just trial and error most of the time.

5, How did you find out about our programme and how would you evaluate our assistance provided during your period here?
Our institutional coordinator back in my university shared with me your proposals of internship placements. I am very satisfied with the assistance and overall performance of your team.

6, What did you find as the most different from your usual environment, country? Was there any culture shock?
There wasn’t any culture shock. I am just amazed that most of the people really like hiking and spending time outside. We prefer different activities.

7, What did you like the best here in Slovakia?
Normal prices and overall good quality of life. I can afford loads of stuff here with normal salary.

8, Which moment of your stay in Slovakia has been the most memorable for you?
The work itself, probably because it was very intense.

9, What are your future plans after finishing the internship?
Find a place to build a carreer.

10, Is there anything you would like to say to students still deciding whether or not to do an internship in Slovakia?
Do it. Slovakia hosts a lot of international companies and has good environment for gaining proper experience. It’s not expensive at all and the conditions offered by Placement Slovakia are more than welcoming. Several months here would definitely improve chances of future success on the job market. Good place to find friends and make connections too.
