So today we're going to talk about Patrick Knetsch's experience. Our German intern, student of Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. He was working as a Procurement Operation Agent in an international procurement outsourcing provider specializing in managing and optimizing non-strategic spending for Fortune 1000 companies. The company is leveraging an international network of offices and operations centers, and procurement-focused integrator programs have been delivering sustainable value and hard cost savings to customers for over 25 years.

His main tasks were:
• Facilitate Procurement process to ensure correct and efficient transaction flow of internal orders
• Guidance Stakeholders on the proper procurement process
• Develop client relationships and guide client employees on the next steps
• Ensure company business controls are adhered to and facilitate a defined system of transparency client established criteria and policies are followed.
• Ensure that operational processes and programs meets agreed customer expectations;
• Work with the global delivery team in terms of reporting and client challenges
• Effectively interface with internal stakeholders and procurement buyers
• Meeting targets, Reporting

Talking about what Patrik learned in his field during the internship he answered: “I learned about better Customer Contact and Communication on the Phone as well as Procurement Programs”. Of course, there were difficulties at work too. The most difficult part for him was: “Problems with customers and the coordination in this case. If there was a problem with the invoice we had to find and identify the problem and correct it.”
Certainly, he gave some recommendations for future interns: “To go to events and get to know new people, to discover the traditional cuisine”
