In the heart of Central Europe lies a hidden gem of internship opportunities, where vibrant cultures, breathtaking landscapes, and a thriving business environment converge. With its dynamic economy and diverse industries, Slovakia has become a sought-after destination for aspiring professionals to embark on a transformative trainee experience.
Today we will tell you more about Kristina’s Komova experience - Ukrainian student of Sumy State University who came to Bratislava with a first turn of Ukrainian project. More about it you can read here.
She worked as a Customer Care Intern in a Slovak Business Center of a global Fortune 500 company, the number one PC vendor worldwide and a leader in providing innovative consumer, commercial, and enterprise technologies.
Her main tasks were:
- Manage end-to-end service-related issues, communicating directly with Company Customers to negotiate and resolve service claims;
- Implement Customer Care solutions, by interacting with internal teams as well as external partners;
- Maintain CRM systems with updated information reflecting case status;
- Generate weekly and monthly reports supporting team management and business stakeholders;
- Support process documentation updates and maintenance.
She learned and developed exceptional teamwork skills, and active interaction and discovered new tools (NGSP, SAP, e-trac) in her field.
Describing overall support from her mentor and colleagues in her field Kristina replied: “The support has been excellent - regular one-by-one meetings with the opportunity to ask all the questions and find out the background to the various processes”.
Liaising with the Polish warehouse, and solving delivery issues was the most pleasant part of her life. The most difficult part of the work-life was the novelty of all the processes.
Beautiful nature and amazing castles Kristina found as the most interesting thing about Slovakia. The most pleasant part of your Erasmus+ internship experience in Slovakia was Interacting with people all over the world and the most difficult - overcoming the language barrier.
We asked Kristina to give some recommendations for new coming interns: “Enjoy the time, don't stress, and use the time for work and leisure in a balanced way”.
We are happy to add that Kristina received a job offer after her internship. Dear Kristina, may this journey be filled with growth, success, exciting opportunities, a supportive work environment, work-life balance, strong connections, and long-term career growth. May continue to flourish and make a positive difference in their professional lives and beyond.
